I only collect personal information when you choose to contact me. This happens when you:
If you choose to allow it, I use Google Analytics to see which pages people find useful. Nothing is used for advertising, and I never see who you are — only anonymous figures such as how many people visited a page. If you decline, no analytics run at all and nothing about your visit is recorded.
The only reason I collect your contact details is to respond to your enquiry and discuss your project with you. Specifically I use them to:

Under UK GDPR, I process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests — you've contacted me to discuss a project, and responding to that contact is the reason for holding your details. Where I send you a formal quote, this also constitutes processing necessary for steps prior to entering a contract.
I keep your contact details and project correspondence for up to 6 years after our last interaction, in line with standard business record-keeping requirements. After that period, your information is securely deleted.

This site sets no cookies unless you agree to them. When you first visit, you are asked a single question and nothing non-essential runs until you answer it.
Google Analytics is loaded and sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_<id>. They tell me things like which pages are visited and roughly where in the country visitors are, so I can see which of my work people are most interested in. Your IP address is shortened before it is stored. Nothing is used for advertising, nothing is sold, and I cannot identify you from any of it. These cookies last up to two years, and you can clear them from your browser at any time.
Nothing is loaded from Google Analytics at all — not the script, not the cookies, and no request leaves your device. The website works exactly the same either way.
Use the Cookie choice link at the bottom of any page to change your answer whenever you like. Declining after previously accepting also deletes the analytics cookies that were set. I ask again roughly every six months in any case.
Your answer is kept in your browser's local storage rather than in a cookie, so declining does not itself require setting one. It stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.
The site's typefaces are loaded from Google's servers, so your browser connects to Google when a page loads. This sets no cookies, but it does mean Google receives your IP address. This is necessary for the site to display correctly, and Google's own privacy policy governs that connection.
This site contains links to external sites such as Google Reviews and WhatsApp. Once you leave this site I have no responsibility for the privacy practices of those platforms — please refer to their own policies.
If I make significant changes to this policy I'll update the date at the top of this page. As this is a small sole-trader business, changes are unlikely to be frequent.
